"Don't let a little dispute injure a great relationship"   -  Dalai Lama

SUPERMAN IS A LION!  District 50 Webmaster Irwin Santos(AKA Clark Kent) with sidekick Karen (AKA Lois Lane of the Daily Planet and recently Mrs. Karen Santos).  Also appearing at the 73rd Convention of D50 were Daily Planet Editor Perry White (AKA Paul Steinfort) and Reporter Jimmy Olsen (AKA Paul Kudo).

KUDOs to our PCLC humanitarian Lion Eryle Okamura!  Dr. Eryle is our resident Optometrist who tirelessly performs eye examinations at all our Vision Screenings and still finds time to Coach a football team and Cook at his family's restaurant, Kitchen Delight.

KUDOS to Lion Tom Oshiro, our lone Grafitti Buster for many years, who is still continuously painting over grafitti whenever they appear on walls & overpasses in Pearl City.  He singlehandedly makes a huge difference in our community.  GET WELL SOON, Lion Tom, so we can see you up and around the neighborhood again.  UPDATE - Lion Tom was able to resume his work on grafitti two weeks ago.   He completely obliterated the numerous tags on both pedestrian overpasses on Moanalua Rd in Pearl City.   Way to go, Tom!

KUDOS to Lion Jeoffrey Cudiamat for his recent appointment by Mayor Mufi to Director of C&C Dept of Faclities & Maintenance.  Lion Jeoffrey owns two engineering firms and was recently named Young Engineer of the Year by the Hawaii Council of Engineering Societies and Young Entrepreneur  of the Year by the Filipino Chamber of Commerce.

KUDOS to Pearl City Lion and State Representative K. Mark Takai, a Major in the Hawaii Army National Guard, deployed to Kuwait for 6 months.  We are proud of his dedication and service, and we wish him a safe assignment.

KUDOS to Kamehameha Lion Jim Bryan for his brave venture to deliver 5000 pairs of recycled eyeglasses to the needy in Afghanistan.   After surviving his harrowing mission and dining on local "delicacies", he was still able to appear as the "Great Baloni" at the 73rd State Convention Fun Night, May 8, and entertain the Lions in style (& beard).  See video clips of his mission sent from Afghanistan on www.hawaiilions.org.  (Listed on the left column of title page under Jim & Gary's Afghanistan Videos)
